Fashionable Row House

Row House is a typology of houses that recently be popular for urban people in Jakarta. This is due to the shortage of land and the skyrocketing land price. This project aimed to design 3-storey house with playful massing and facade to make a more exciting neighborhood.

This cluster has 3 different facade style. The zigzag massing, the formal vertical massing, and the towering mass facade. This variety explores the composition and the effect to the dynamic of the streetscape. With the use of earthy color of terracotta and green, we tried to put nature as much as possible to balance the compactness of the neighborhood.

The challenge in this project is to Incorporate plants in this complex. So take advantage of terrace balcony concept on the front facade, so inhabitants could utilize as the space for plants of even farming.
